Résumé
Nous rapportons le cas clinique d’un patient de sexe masculin âgé de 38 ans présentant un anévrisme de l’aorte thoracique évoqué à l’examen échocardiographique et confirmé par la tomodensitométrie thoracique à l’occasion d’un bilan d’investigation d’une douleur thoracique. Le bilan à visée étiologique utilisant un test génétique a mis en évidence une maladie de Marfan. Le patient a bénéficié d’un remplacement complet de l’aorte ascendante avec conservation de la valve aortique. Les suites opératoires se sont avérées favorables. Dans le contexte africain, la découverte d’un anévrisme de l’aorte devrait rendre systématique la réalisation d’un bilan génétique chez le patient et au niveau de sa famille.

Abstract
We present the clinical case of a 38-year-old male patient suffering from thoracique aortic anevrysm. This was incidentally discovered when the patient felt thoracic pain and an ultrasound showed that he had a swelling ascending aorta. A chest computerized tomography confirmed the diagnostic with firm and emergency surgical indication. An etiologic investigation revealed Marfan syndrom. A Genetic and family health history review should be more often considered in this context given the diagnostic of aortic anevrysm and a clinical picture which suggests a genetic-realated disease.
